Our Story

The Inspiration Behind NNBA’s Vision and Mission

As many of you know, NNBA’s Artistic Director, Mr. Kris, brings an enthusiastic and dynamic approach to teaching. His dance journey began at the age of nine, leading him to graduate from the National Ballet School in Warsaw, where he trained in the Vaganova method—a renowned classical ballet technique developed by Russian dancer and choreographer Agrippina Vaganova.

In 2004, he gained national recognition as Poland’s top Michael Jackson impersonator, a milestone that shaped his artistic path. He later became the first performer to take on the role of Mr. Mistoffelees in Cats in Poland, marking a significant achievement in his career. Expanding his horizons even further, he began creating his own shows and performing in Las Vegas, an experience that profoundly transformed his artistry. These ventures not only refined his performance skills but also deepened his understanding of stagecraft, musicality, and audience engagement.

Mr. Kris’ diverse background has allowed NNBA to evolve beyond a traditional ballet academy, incorporating various dance styles that reflect his passion and professional experience.

Mr. Luong is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in start-ups, guiding companies from their early stages to publicly traded success. As a strategic leader, he specializes in developing and executing corporate strategies that optimize operations and drive sustainable growth.

Now focused on community-based businesses and initiatives, Mr. Luong is dedicated to empowering the next generation through ethical leadership, transparency, and long-term organizational success. As CEO and Executive Chairman of NNBA, he leads with a vision to create a safe and supportive space where everyone can dance and perform. Drawing from his experience in the technology sector—where he embraced the "Sandbox" model for testing and innovation, he now applies the same concept to the performing arts after meeting Mr. Kris.

Our Mission

Inspired by the concept of experimentation and creativity in a safe environment, Sandbox became more than just a framework—it evolved into a mission. What started as an idea soon turned into a sanctuary for performers and young dancers who had been hurt by the pressures of competition, financial expectations, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.

In the traditional performing arts world, talent is often overshadowed by external demands—sponsorships, prestige, and the pressure to succeed at all costs. Sandbox offers an alternative, a space where dancers and performers can rediscover their passion without fear of failure or judgment. It became a side mission for those who needed to heal, express themselves freely, and find joy in their art once again.

For many students, it’s a place to experiment, create, and push artistic boundaries without the weight of expectations. For professionals, it serves as a retreat from the industry’s harsh realities, allowing them to reconnect with their craft on their own terms. Under Mr. Kris’s and Mr. Luong’s leadership, Sandbox has grown into a movement—one that champions artistry over commerce, passion over pressure, and community over competition.

Our mission is to empower students in both their artistic journey and personal development.
