How many classes should I take? We offer recommendations for each age group on our classes page, but students are free to choose as many classes as their schedules allow. Enrollment in all classes within a level is not mandatory; we prioritize flexibility to accommodate schoolwork and other activities.

Am I too old for beginner classes? At NNBA, we believe that it’s never too late to start. Our beginner classes are designed to provide a solid foundation for all students, regardless of age. Older beginners will start at the same foundational level, but we regularly assess progress to help you advance to higher levels as quickly as possible.

Am I too old for the classes I’m in? Our classes are tailored to provide a strong foundation for students of all ages. Older students will begin at the appropriate level based on their dance experience, and we regularly assess progress to help you move up to higher levels as quickly as possible.

What level do I belong to? Choose your level based on age, experience, or the group that feels right for you. Our Artistic Director, Mr. Kris, will assess each student and adjust placements as needed to ensure the best fit.

Does NNBA have uniforms or a dress code? Yes, we do! Our academy has specific dress codes and etiquette guidelines, which you can learn more about here. For ballet classes, we have designated uniforms and colors for our students. These uniforms are available for purchase at Satori Dancewear. We recommend visiting Satori in person so they can assist with sizing and provide fitting advice.

Why do some classes longer than 45-60 minutes? Our higher-level classes are longer (75+ minutes) and tailored for older students who have years of dance experience. These classes focus on advanced ballet techniques, including pointe, pre-pointe, and repertoire.

Do NNBA Adult Program punch cards expire? Yes, the 5-class punch cards expire 60 days from the purchase date, while the 10-class punch cards expire 90 days from the purchase date. To maintain flexibility for our valued adult students, we need to ensure that each class has enough participants to cover the costs of our teachers providing these regularly scheduled classes.

When does NNBA process tuition payments? Tuition is processed automatically on the 1st of each month. Please use our Parent Portal to save a credit card on file. NNBA does not charge any processing or credit card fees.

Can I try a youth class at NNBA before enrolling? Yes, you may register as a drop-in for the class. This gives you the chance to ‘try it out’ before deciding whether to simply pay the drop-in fee for that day or to enroll for the session. After attending, you can choose the option that works best for you—either continue with the drop-in rate or enroll, which provides a savings.

Does NNBA pro-rate monthly tuition? Our tuition is calculated to include all scheduled breaks throughout the year. For this reason, tuition for the season (August through May) is not pro-rated.
