Ballet Level 5
Intermediate Pointe • Ages ~13–15/17 | Elevation, Clarity & Personal Voice

Ballet Level Five is where the dancer begins to move with confidence and presence — where technique is no longer something they try to do, but something they inhabit.

This is a stage of refinement, maturity, and artistic identity.

Students entering Level Five have completed Ballet Level Four and have demonstrated consistent strength, placement, pointe readiness, and the discipline required to work at an intermediate level. They understand that progress comes through repetition, patience, and attention to detail — and that artistry and precision must grow together.

In this level, dancers learn to move with intention. They refine the quality of transitions, the clarity of batterie, the control of balances, and the depth of musical phrasing. They begin to explore who they are as artists — what nuance, softness, power, and musical expression feel like in their own bodies.

Parents continue to support this journey with consistency, encouragement, and trust — allowing the dancer to take ownership of their training and their growth.

This is where dancers begin not just to perform ballet — but to express it.

By the end of Ballet Level Five, dancers show clarity, elevation, and expressive maturity. Their pointe work becomes confident and articulate; their petit allegro precise; their turns intentional and centered.

They begin to dance with voice — not only technique.

This is where a dancer becomes an artist.
