Northern Nevada Ballet Academy Partners with Tutu School Reno to Offer Dance to Students as Young as 18 Months Old

Northern Nevada Ballet Academy (NNBA) is excited to announce a new partnership with Tutu School Reno, extending dance opportunities to students as young as 18 months old. This collaboration aims to introduce young children to the joy and benefits of dance at an early age.

"This partnership is a great initiative for introducing young children to the joy of dance. With a focus on early childhood development through dance, Tutu School's philosophy aligns well with NNBA by fostering creativity and physical development in young students," states Vinh Luong, CEO of NNBA and Reno Ballet Theatre. “Tutu School graduates reaching 8 years old will be able to continue exploring dance and performing arts at NNBA.”

Elisa Curtis, Owner Tutus School Reno, mentioned, “At Tutu School we develop pure, fundamental ballet technique that will eventually allow our dancers to graduate to a disciplined study of the craft at the age of eight. I am excited to watch our Tutu School students continue to pursue their love of dance as they grow. NNBA strives to foster a passion for dance while honing skills and providing an environment with education at its core. This will be a wonderful environment to continue to pursue performing arts! I am thrilled to see NNBA join the dance community in Reno!”

About Tutu School Reno:

At Tutu School, every child should know what it feels like to dance. This is the founding principle of Tutu School. Tutu believes that motor skill development is infinitely enhanced by Tchaikovsky and Bach, that young imaginations benefit immensely from exploring the enchanted worlds of swans and sugar plums, and that twirling should be a fundamental part of any childhood.
